15-20 hours work week
Team Members are guranteed at least 15-20 hours of work each week. They are also compensated for trainings and other skill development activities during the week above their normal work hours.
Team members meet one on one with a Five Loaves program staff to talk about the challenges they face in the working environment each week. This is also a time to discuss future career goals and steps to reach those dreams.
Five Loaves focuses on devleoping one job skill each week as a team. This includes subjects such as customer service, proper kitchen etiquette, working with diverse team members, taking pride in their work, etc.
Five Loaves program staff also works with team members individually to help develop skills not covered in team meetings. These are specific to the individual and area of improvement needed.
Volunteers meet with team members to help achieve additional goals such as obtaining their G.E.D., learning to drive a car, submitting a resume, or completing an application for further education.
Business leaders and career professionals are invited to come and share with the team unique aspects of their job, such as employee expectations, how to succeed in the workplace, and how they came to be in that profession.
Five Loaves is a lifelong advocate for team members in their communities, place of business, and in their homes.
